Jimmie Jack Drath Jimmie Jack grew up on the Kenai river. He began running the river on his own when he was just 13. "I just love being a river guide. The Kenai River is a special fishery. It is amazing how many fish are in this river!" Jimmie Jack was a world class pole vaulter and competed at the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials. Lately, Jimmie Jack has been featured on Larry Csonka's North to Alaska show, Globo TV in Brazil, and many Kenai and Kasilof fishing reports on KTUU News in Alaska. Currently, his passions are fishing and Christian missions in Brazil and Mozambique. "I am so blessed. God has allowed me to live life to the full. I get to be a fishing guide on the awesome Kenai River in the summer, and then I get to bless others who are less fortunate in the winter. Praise the Lord!" Jimmie Jack is a Certified IGFA Captain. Currently, Jimmie Jack is serving on the board of directors of the Kenai River Professional Guide Association.

Big Jim Drath Big Jim is Jimmie Jack's dad. Big Jim has been fishing the Kenai River for over 25 years. When he retired from his career in security on the Alaska Pipeline, he found out that his son, Jimmie Jack had painted his boat red. Jimmie wanted his dad to join him as a fishing guide on the Kenai River, and they have been having a blast ever since. Big Jim knows the Kenai River well, and how to pull out the big kings. As he puts it, "This is where I live, this is my house." Jimmie Jack says that his dad has the HOT plugs. "Shoot, he has more awesome plugs than any of us other guides combined. We try and take them, but he sleeps with them under his pillow." |

Dave Drake Catdaddy ran into Jimmie Jack on the Christian mission field in Bolivia. He says, "Jimmie and I were laying brick on this church wall in Cochabamba, Bolivia and I asked him if he needed another fishing guide. Jimmie said he did, and I was so excited that I did not even talk to him for a whole day. All I do is fish and hunt. This is a dream of mine that God has blessed me with. Wow, more than I can even ask or imagine! Being a Kenai River fishing guide is a dream come true. Thank you Jesus! Even if nobody is catching fish, we will still catch fish, and even limit! I believe in miracles!" "At Jimmie Jack Fishing we want more than for our clients to catch fish. We want them to leave knowing they have made new friends perhaps for life. It's far more than just a fishing trip and catching a fish of a lifetime. It's seeing some of the most beautiful scenery in the world! They spend time on the world famous Kenai and Kasilof rivers... seeing eagles, moose, or perhaps bear, or even whales on a halibut trip. This is far more than just a fishing trip in a fishing boat. This is for some, if not most, a true adventure of a lifetime with a staff of experts who truly care about their new friends having an unforgettable trip of a lifetime!"

Craig Chestler Craig Chestler is the newest recruit to the All-Pro Jimmie Jack Fishing team. Craig has a keen sense for tracking down the fish and bringing home the bacon! This skill was honed in Montana as a boy, chasing down big rainbow trout on the Yellowstone River. Growing up, it was always Craigs dream to come to The Last Frontier to be a fishing guide and an aircraft mechanic. Craig began his fishing career in Alaska as a salty dog, deck-handing Halibut charters on the Cook Inlet for two summers. Now, when hes not out flying, and exploring remote fishing hotspots, you can find him on the Kenai River with happy clients. Craig is a certified aircraft mechanic, a private pilot, and a seasoned fishing guide. He has been guiding fly-in fishing trips for 6 years and has fished the Kenai since he moved to Alaska in 2002. On his first trip to Alaska at the age of 12, Craig remembers stepping out of the airplane at the Valdez terminal and asking, Dad whats that smell? In reply his dad said, Son& that is Alaska! From that moment on, Craig knew that God had saved something special in his creation for Alaska&the fish. Everything is BIG up here in Alaska, a man could live his whole life and only begin to scratch the surface of what Alaska has to offer&. Every day is a gift from the creator, and should be used to do good work! Keep up the Good Work Craig, FISH ON! |

Jacob Hirst Hello all! My name is Jacob Hirst. I grew up fishing as often as possible down in the great states of Oklahoma and Texas. We fished for anything and everything we could, with an emphasis on largemouth bass, catfish and crappie. It was a lovely childhood to say the least. For college I decided to move up to the NW and go to school at Pacific Lutheran University, but just so you all know one of the main reasons I chose the NW was because of the outdoors. Before I had a chance to make it up to AK for the first time I thought that WA was a sportsman's paradise. Moving up to the NW was when my world was turned upside down; God decided to introduce me to Salmon and Steelhead fishing, and man God is good! I always wondered why Jesus spent his time here on earth with a bunch of fisherman and after doing some REAL fishing I now know why, because it is the best thing on this earth! I cannot wait to get to AK in May and help people do the thing that I love most everyday, fishing! I can't wait to meet all the people that we will be taking fishing this summer. I can tell you one thing about what y'all have to look forward to fishing with Jimmie Jack Fishing...YOU are in for a treat!

Jordan Daniels Jambo Rafikis! My name is Jordan Daniels and I was born and raised in the Northwest. I've grown up playing sports and love being active and outdoors, enjoying God's beautiful creation! I am currently finishing up my studies at Pacific Lutheran University, where I will earn my BA in Sociology. I have been so incredibly blessed with a healthy, loving, and supportive family, as well as a great education, and would like to give that gift to others as well, as I pursue a career in education. I have a heart for ministry and missions, and have spent some time in Eastern Africa, as well my own community. God has blessed me in so many ways, but one of the biggest blessings has been meeting Jacob Hirst, my fiancé. He just so happens to be a guide for the Jimmie Jack Fishing Company! Last summer I came to visit and absolutely fell in love with the beautiful state of Alaska, but even more so, the amazing people and team here at Jimmie Jack Fishing. This will be my first summer, and I am excited and honored to be a part of the team, and help make your experience here the best ever! |

I'm Charles Gomes Jr. but I go by my initials CR. I have been blessed with a beautiful, supportive wife and three amazing children; two girls and one boy. I have lived most of my 37 years in California and have now made the decision to relocate to Kenai, AK where I believe God is calling us. I have fished the rivers, lakes and Bay throughout all of California my entire life. My passion for fishing began at a young age. My dad would take me out fishing as a small boy, and since then it has grown immensely through the years. Six years ago I was blessed to travel to Alaska for vacation and was in awe of Gods majestic beauty. My first fishing experience on the Kenai river left me feeling like a kid in a candy store, and I was in shock at the number of salmon I was able to land. I immediately knew this was the place for me, and by Gods Grace he has answered my prayers and has giving me the opportunity to join the Jimmy Jack Fishing team.
I look forward to serving your fishing needs and being by your side when you get to experience for your self Alaska's amazing rivers, and beauty.
